Expanding the Aputure tunable white lighting lineup, the compact STORM 400x LED Monolight is a point-source workhorse, matching a powerful full-spectrum chipset with advanced dimming, professional color accuracy, a widely adaptable Bowens mount, and robust, IP65 construction for high-end set work under any circumstance. The STORM family of LED monolights features Aputure’s breakthrough BLAIR chipset with blue, lime, amber, indigo, and red LEDs that deliver higher brightness levels and color accuracy levels. Rated 95 for both CRI and TLCI standards, the STORM 400x light also scores an 87 SSI rating at 3200 and 5600K color temperatures, and the multicolor diodes improve the light’s color-matching abilities. The full CCT range of 2500 to 10,000K is enhanced with green-magenta color correction for advanced white-point control, and the unit’s daylight 5600K output reaches 64,600 lux at 3.3′ when used with the included 35° reflector.
